Garry Brian Cox (1963-present) is a Songwriter,Musician,Tutor,Engineer and Producer,who’s work covers music,film and radio, in the 1980’s he was known as Garry Coe-Zanne playing keyboards for the band Total Strangers, who released two singles on the label Sell Out Records.
He also worked in a number of recording studio’s starting off as a tape op and working up.
In 1989 he formed White Russia alongside Perrie Walder.
In the 1990’ s he studied classical guitar and piano and got in to teaching. Changing his name back to Garry Cox. He was Chair of Sounds Phenomenal a Brighton Based youth project promoting young bands and artists who were also responsible for the highly acclaimed Brighton Industry Music Conference. Also the Youth Initiative project bringing young musicians from all over the world together. Also working in the background on many events including stage management for Hangleton Festival. In 1998 he formed a duet for pubs and weddings with Joanne Arrowsmith.
In the 2000s he took a step back from a lot of his music obligations to bring up his young son, but still managed to bring out the album “Infinitely Jammable” with Julian Fairhall in 2004.
In 2009 he reformed with Perrie Walder to record some of the White Russia Songs, an album was brought out in 2011 under the new band name “World Secret” the album was nominated for three awards and won most requested song 2011 for “Hey Little Piggy” on Total Biker FM.
Between 2011 and present he has been involved In music,film and radio mainly as a producer but also as a co-ordinator and band manager, His new album is scheduled for release in 2025.
